Descent is a charcoal drawing of a figure being consumed by technology. This is part of a series of works titled”Man and Machine”. I was interested in the movement, pattern and rhythm of the metallic forms and how they could be used create an energy to the work, and in contrast the figures are dehumanized and broken, or subservient to their machine-like surroundings.
