Kiss is an animation created from six oil paintings. The oil paintings are based on my lips and an exaggerated sound of someone puckering their lips and kissing. At the time of creation, I was most interested in creating a “new” type of portrait. One that is not static, but moves and has whimsical qualities.
Arlington County purchased the paintings I did for this animation in a public art call for entries. The county set aside 50k to purchase artwork from submissions around the metro area. I thank them for their purchase of the paintings. I also created a versions of Kiss here in graphite.
