"In sequence: paintings, drawings and animations by scott hutchison"
Shifting images of blinking eyes, moving lips and changing expressions flash across video screens as digital animations are displayed alongside sequential oil paintings and graphite drawings depicting the figure in motion. In his solo exhibition, Scott Hutchison
combines traditional painting and drawing techniques with digital technology to create animated portraits, displayed on small LCD panels, exploring identity and introspection in layered compositions of realistically rendered but separate moments in time.

This piece continues with my investigation of the moving image. But instead of creating multiple frames for an animation I wanted to spill a scene onto one page.
This page is a list of websites that may help visual artists find calls for shows around the country. The purpose of this list is not to be all inclusive and list every local art center and gallery out there. Instead I envision this page as a list to help me* as well as an artist interested in gaining National and International exposure through a broader list of Call for Entry Sites, Slide Registries, Galleries, Museums, Universities and Art Centers. There are a number of FREE call for entry lists out there.
If you like my artwork, perhaps you would be interested in owning a print, t-shirt or pack of postacrds? I have thousands of images that I have created over the years and I am rolling out a gift shop. Over the next few months I will be photographing my work and publishing more products. I begin here with a few t-shirt designs. Here.
