Triptych – Figure Drawings

Triptych – Figure Drawings

I am half way through with this triptych of drawings. Though they are unfinished I thought I would post this triptych to document my progress.  My studio space is small and therefore they were composed and drawn separately. It is important that each image carries its own weight and works by itself, however these photos help me study their appearance as a group. Each is drawn with graphite on a 20″ x 30″ piece of Fabriano paper. This triptych means a lot to me. Not just because I used my face and body as the model, but because this series encapsulates my 15 years of work into one piece. If you know my older more surreal scifi work and the metalman period you may see passages of that aesthetic in these drawings.
